CAPE ON THE ENDURO’ PARADISE!!

After Sicily, the MAXXIS FIM Enduro World Championship goes in Turkey for the 4th of the 8 Grand Prix of the season.

Rather perplexed and skeptic last year for the 1st event in Asia, all the EWC’s caravan comes back with pleasure to Turkey. It is true that the organizers were appreciated thanks to their availability and their effectiveness and also the town of FETHIYE has an infinite charm which charmed the most skeptics.

FETHIYE is located in the Western South of Turkey, where the Mediterranean joined the Aegean Sea. With its multiple creeks, its marinas, its important flora and its many islets, FETHIYE is considered as the Turkish “St Tropez”. Known and founded in the antiquity under the name of Telmessos, the charming town of the Mugla’s surrounding has very many vestiges of its past (sarcophagus of Apollo, ancient theatre) and a important cultural heritage.

With the turquoise of the sea and the vitality of its young population, FETHIYE is located only few kilometers far from the famous “Laguna blue” of Oludeniz. A paradisiac natural place which is the most photographed place of Turkey!!!

But, despite all the tourist assets of FETHIYE, there will hardly be question of idleness in a couple of days with this 2nd Grand Prix SPORTOTO of Turkey!!

THE ENDURO TEST CLOSE TO THE LAGUNA BLUE

The TMF (Türkiye Motorsiklet Federasyonu) and its new président M. Bekir YUNUS UCAR are very involved to the organization of this race. The Turkish Enduro is under development with the support of Tolga TOLON, Enduro manager of the Federation, thanks also to a particularly favourable place for the practice of this sport. As last year, the TMF entrusted the organization of the race to the Fethiye Orman Spor Kulubu of Sadik OZDEMIR and Ahmet S YUCEL. These passionate men with one year of experiment will still raise more the level of their organization which will take place between the coast and the foothills of the Taurus Mount.

A technical layout of 53 kms to cover 4 times is proposed to the riders of which a dozen Turks, with of course their local Champion Firat SAHIN, who will ride with the top world riders.

As previous year, the Cross Test and the Extreme Test take place in the splendid complex “Akdeniz Off Road Park” located at 15 kms far from Fethiye. The Enduro Test (9 kms!) is located on the higher slope of the Laguna Blue close to Oludeniz in an incredible place.

AUBERT RISKS ALL….

The 3 Finnish riders SALMINEN (HVA), REMES (KTM), SEISTOLA (HVA) engages a new battle for the title in Enduro 1 and the Frenchies (THAIN, PLANET, DEPARROIS, GAUTHIER) and the Spanish SANTOLINO (KTM) will try to interfere.

The Frenchies with Antoine MEO (HVA), current leader, should dominate the category Enduro 2. A category where Johnny AUBERT (KTM) risks all if he does not want to lose definitively any hope of world title. The Spanish Ivan CERVANTES (Gas Gas) and Cristobal GUERRERO (KTM) finds a ground which suits to their riding whereas Pierre Alexandre RENET (F Husaberg) aims his 1st win of the season.

New battle also has to be envisaged in Enduro 3 between Mika AHOLA (SF - HM Honda) and Christophe NAMBOTTIN (F - Gas Gas), with only 13 points between them to the standing… Sébastien GUILLAUME (F - HVA), if he gets better after his injury at his clavicle and the Husaberg trio (LJUNGGREN, TARKKALA, MENA) are better than outsiders.

And it is still another Finnish, Anti HELLSTEN (KTM) which will be the man to beat in Enduro Junior for this 4th Grand Prix of the year.

START ON THURSDAY EVENING

On Thursday at 19:00, the KTM Super Test should be marked by the crowd of curious and tourists in the city center of Fethiye and the wonderful Paddock located in the Sali Pazari Stadium.

Because this Grand Prix of Asia takes unusually place on June Friday 10th on Saturday 11th because of the Turkish presidential election which will take place on June Sunday 12th.

As in Sicily, only 3 weeks ago, the heat should be very important during this GP SPORTOTO of Turkey.

Even if, Fethiye and its area means as holidays and tourism, the star of the World Enduro cure will not have any because the battle for the world titles will be rougher than ever at the middle-season.

All the people present in 2010 appreciated really the Grand Prix of Turkey… so do not hesitate more and book your flight and join us in one of the Enduro’s paradises.

Lo de los viernes es un paseito para dar ambiente en el pueblo. Lo serio empieza mañana.

Pepet, la carrera ha sido hoy viernes y mañana sabado es el segundo dia.

Guerrero los ha fundido a TODOS gracias a sus increibles tiempos del Enduro Test, gran triunfo.

Cervantes muy bien de nuevo con la GasGas 2t, lastima que Aubert no se metiera entre medio de Cervantes y Meo para q el torito le revajase unos puntitos.

Por cierto Pepet, ¿y el "Pela" ese como ha quedado? uy 5º :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Es broma, pero le falta un par de temporadas para ser campeon del mundo, que no dudo que lo sera.

Ahola , como siempre, una apisonadora y Salminen el mejor del mundo mundial.

Nose si sera fallo de la web enduro-live, pero en E3 en la septima especial solo aparecen ahola y tarkagla y EJ no salen, diegomirlo tu tambien lo miras por esta web?
